POETRY

Immersed in Sacred Musings

“That pleasure which is at once the most pure,
the most elevating and the most intense, is derived, I maintain,
from the contemplation of the beautiful”
~ Edgar Allan Poe

Sitting by the sleeping shores
immersed in sacred musings.
associations freed from prospects,
the mind meanders playfully
through the peaks and valleys
of the profuse imagination.
One hundred and eighty vista degrees
of diamond studded ocean
makes love to my hungry senses.
eyes inhale that which
becomes the feast feeding
this quixotic moment
Tentative teal,
to truest turquoise,
to mind deep blue
pervades this water palette
of ironed glass;
this rostrum of tranquility
Sitting by the sleeping shores
Immersed in sacred musings.
